Fivium Ltd, London – 6th March 2018 – eCase will be hosting a FREE and EXCLUSIVE half day event dedicated to helping our Police colleagues prepare for the regulatory changes ahead. All places are now taken, but we will be operating a reserve list.
With under 100 days until the GDPR becomes law, we are offering Information and Data Professionals in the police the opportunity to gather information and insights into what the changing regulations will mean for the day-to-day business of managing requests.
Chaired by Colin Ley-Smith, the National Police Freedom of Information and Data Protection Unit Manager, National Police Chief’s Council, the session will provide an insight into the forthcoming changes and work through the issues unique to the police. Additional speakers will include Simon McKay, a barrister and nationally and internationally recognised expert in UK national security and intelligence law, and Toby Backhouse, NPCC Data Protection Advisor.

Talking about the upcoming event, Director Matt Fletcher said "This is a time of significant change for Data Protection and Data Privacy. With the introduction of the GDPR now just three months away, we saw an opportunity to help our colleagues in the police prepare for and discuss the practical implications and complexities of their unique environment. We're really looking forward to hosting this event and learning more about their specific issues."
All places for this FREE, police-exclusive event are now taken, but we will be operating a reserve list.
