International Women's Day 2024: Building Tech and Breaking Barriers at Fivium
Fivium is once again proud to support International Women's Day 2024 under the theme of #InspireInclusion and we’re pleased to announce some new initiatives aimed at empowering and inspring women in the tech industry and beyond.
One of the exciting initiatives we're eagerly anticipating is our sponsorship of the 'Removing Barriers to Mental Health Support' track at the University of Bath Wackathon (Women’s Hackathon). Alongside supporting emerging female coders, we are firm in our belief that mental health is a crucial aspect of overall well-being, and we believe that by actively sponsoring this event, we can support conversations that address barriers and destigmatise mental health issues.
Our other initiative extends to inspiring the future generation. This year we are visiting schools across the country, aiming to inspire young minds (and young females in particular) to consider a career in technology. By showcasing the vast possibilities within the tech realm, we hope to break stereotypes and encourage the next generation of females to explore STEM fields.
Matt Fletcher, Co-founder at Fivium states, “We have long been a proponent of inclusivity in the workplace and recognise the importance of bridging gender gaps, especially in the field of technology. As part of our ongoing commitment, we are actively supporting the development of women in technology, focusing on initiatives that encourage and empower them to thrive in the digital landscape.”
We hope that our initiative and support help to strengthen inclusivity, diversity, and the advancement of women in the tech industry, paving the way for a more inclusive and equitable future.
